If this was a different franchise that was more optimistic from the start I would hate the idea, but Dead Space had little to no hope from the very start, even if you survive like Issac one would never be happy in that world. Contrast something else like say Mass Effect where despite the horror that was The Reapers, they were eventually defeated in the end.Įven if the moons themselves weren't a thing, I still think this would apply to the DS universe thanks to how humanity was and how their crap was represented by the shady EarthGov or the insane Unitologists, regardless of whatever Issac Clarke may do the fact was that more Markers were out there so horrific events were going to keep on happening even after Issac was gone, giant flesh-moons or not things were never going to be good forever, the Dead Space world is one where hope only existed in glimmers, there aren't many happy endings only the bittersweet.Įven with the Dead Space 4 ideas that did exist out there including those from the dev's I think it would of been nice to continue that, give humanity a fighting chance of course with their downfall being what gets so many in this universe, the mental battle. ![]() The concept could of been better executed but that's a pretty common expression as of 2023 imo, but I actually liked how there just might of been no hope at the end of it all, despite how good of a go Issac and others might have given it, the idea that it ultimately only postponed the inevitable is a refreshing concept for a non indie or obscure video game.
